A Healthy Dinner
Working all day at work doesn't offer much cooking options unless dinner ends up at 9pm! Luckily, I currently have the luxury of working close to home so it's just a quick stroll home to prepare dinner and it's ready by 7pm! In a way, it's forced me to be innovative in thinking of dishes that can be prepared quickly or slowly cooked in the oven or slow cooker. And gives me a chance to try new recipes on my helpless guinea pigs too!
From the top: Tuna potato cake, chicken casserole and celery salad
The tuna potato cakes were done over last weekend and frozen. I find frozen foods a great help - quick to reheat and they still turn out delicious! The chicken was baked in the oven and turned out great, except for the cabbage on top which burnt a little. And for a change from cold salad, tonight it was a warm salad with caramelised onions. So there...my first photographed attempt of a pseudo-Western meal! :)

First of all, welcome to the blogosphere!
Right, on to business:
If you can provide idiot-proof, cheap and quick recipes that a single guy can cook in bulk - I hate cooking and like to prepare several meals in advance - I promise to come back regularly.
And oh, nothing requiring 'special ingredients' either - stuff like 'star anise' or 'cardammon pods' that I'd buy once and never use again.
:)
Heh. You didn't think this blogging business was going to be easy, didja?
sounds like a laborious dinner :p
OK, just had a pang of conscience - you do know that I was kidding, right?
Well, not about the need for quick and cheap recipes, that's real.
But the pushy, bossy bit, I was just messin' with ya.
Well lookie here, 3rd comment already!
I must confess, I love caramelised onions. I will sneakily make them and chuck it on top of things. They go so well with burgers!
Thanks for all your comments!
Jay - I'll endeavour! Hehe...I'm always on the lookout for quick, fast and easy recipes too. Just have a slow cooker or an oven at hand! ;)
Babe - Hehe..it really wasn't! Just came home, threw the salad together and heated up casserole and tuna patty...ta-dah! :)
