Mistake?

I came in to work today and was already greeted by at least 10 different emails. What a demoralising thing to come into. Sometimes I wonder why some people are paid so so much to not do very much while others aren't paid much at all but have to run around and are expected to know everything? I also heard there probably won't be any bonus payments this year. Perhaps I had made a major mistake in staying. But life's too short for regrets. I just have to look forward and hope for something good.
