Work and Study

I’m always impressed with people who can do further studies such as their masters programme while holding down a normal job. I’m even more impressed though with graduate students who excel in their day jobs while studying! I recently read of a graduate student at capella university, Tammy Alexander, who was awarded the 2006 FBI Director’s Community Leadership Award. The FBI award is to recognize the achievements of individuals and organizations actively involved in community crime prevention. Alexander qualified in her capacity as the vice-president on the board of advisors for the Infragard East Tennessee Alliance which is an FBI program seeking to improve information sharing between the private sector and the government. Kudos to Alexander for excelling at both! We should draw inspiration from her success!
